The countries that hate Putin, the countries that love Putin, and the countries in between

A survey just carried out by the Alliance of Democracies sheds light on global sentiments toward Bloodymir Putin. The list presenting the percentage of negative opinions from various countries is presented below.

Why does my country, which, unlike Poland, has never experienced invasion by the Russian rapist army harbor such disdain for Bloodymir Putin (a sentiment that fills me with pride) almost as much as Ukraine? Is it possible that this sentiment is rooted in the shared perspective of many Portuguese, aligning closely with our most prominent living philosopher, who contends that Putin’s army is nothing more than a horde of assassins?

Poland……………..87%

Ukraine……………80%

Portugal……….79%

Sweden…………..77%

Italy………………..65%

UK………………….65%

US…………………..62%

Germany………..62%

Venezuela………36%

India………………36%

Hungary……….32%

Algeria………….29%

Indonesia……..14%

Saudi Arabia…11%

Egypt……………..7%

Morocco…………4%

PS – In the post scriptum of a previous post, I scoffed at Lavrov’s moronic views on world powers and in particular about Russia’s inability to retain its own talents. For a more nuanced exploration of this matter, I recommend reading the recent article published in The Economist https://www.economist.com/united-states/2022/05/26/america-has-an-opportunity-to-lure-russias-tech-talent
